Volunteers

Purchase and/or gather supplies and materials for artist packets including 9”x12” envelopes, lanyards, booth signs, name badges, coupons, show information, sales tax forms. Two or three vols anytime the week of the show. Should take about two hours.

Greet artists, give them their packets, and answer questions. We will have a tent in Washington Street Park. At least one, no more than two vols Thursday 5pm-7pm and Friday 8am-3pm.

Watch artist booths while they take a short break. Two vols should be enough during all hours of the show.

Ice bottled water and distribute cold water to artists. Two or three vols during all hours of the show.

Volunteers will manage barricades at city block entrances, ensuring that artists, officials, and emergency vehicles have safe and timely access. This role is vital for keeping streets clear and organized.  

• Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM

• Sunday: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Host artist hospitality area in the H.C. Porter Studio loft. One vol during all hours of the show.

Collect sales tax forms and checks from artists and food vendors. One or two vols on Sunday from 2pm-4pm.

Assist children and parents, as needed, with their Make and Take arts activities. Two or three vols during all hours on Saturday and Sunday.

Staff information booth/stand and answer guest questions. One or two vols (depending on whether we have an information kiosk at each end of the show) during all hours of the show.

Post updates about the festival from time to time on social media platforms.

Recruit and coordinate on-site engagement with non-profitorganizations and other festivals/events in Vicksburg.

Someone with some graphic design skills to design signs and banners.

Someone from Vicksburg who can work with Alex to identify potential sponsors, set up meetings and attend meetings to solicit sponsorships.
